Step 1 – Download POW! Sign File
Try this technique out on my new super fun wall hanging file – POW! Sign.

Step 2 – Laser Cut MDF
Next, laser cut out the shapes of your project! If you are making a POW! sign, be sure to keep an eye on the exclamation marks point.

Step 3 – Start the Paint Process
MDF is notorious for soaking up paint, and I want to paint the back layer of this design Yellow – which is a tough color all on its own!

Here is the tip that will turn your MDF frowns – upside down! You need spray paint PRIMER.

I suggest a neutral gray color. The gray will cover the color of the MDF, yet provide a light enough background for your light color paints to adhere to!

I only needed 2 light coats of yellow and white spray paint and they were done!
Step 4 – Assemble
Once everything is completely dry, it is time to glue it all together! I used Elmer’s Glue-All, which is much stronger than school glue and made of a similar formula to wood glue.

It dries relatively clear, so if there is a bit of oozing, it will be ok!

It will dry in no time! I put a sawtooth wall hanger on the back and then it is ready to decorate with!
