Step 1 – Download Gift Card Holder

There are hundreds of “Gift Card Holder” downloads on CreativeFabrica.com! I used this Christmas themed one!

CreativeFabrica has millions of svgs and laser specific files that you gain unlimited access to for a subscription of $3.99 a month! I have made thousands of dollars worth of sellable goods from this website alone!

Step 2 – Customize it

I used CorelDraw, but Inkscape would work, too! I just found a font that I had that was similar to the writing on the original download to type in “To: Our Mailman”.

I fit things in snugly and added little cat charms in some open spaces, so I didn’t waste any material. Every square inch can be profitable!

Step 3 – Cut it Out!

I used 1/8th inch (3mm) MDF from Craft Closet. If you use the code LASERLADY you will save 10%! The material cuts and engraves wonderfully!

Step 4 – Paint!

If you’ve been reading or watching my Youtube videos, you know we need to prime or seal MDF before we paint it. This Rustoleum Gray Primer works great!

Once dry, I painted all the pieces with other spray paint colors. I also used a Sharpie Paint Pen to color in the little star in the Christmas Stamp Gold.

Step 5 – Glue Together

I used Elmer’s Glue All, which is similar to wood glue.

The pieces are pretty straight forward. Lay everything out before gluing it together, so you don’t accidentally glue the wrong pieces.

All done! Hopefully our mailman likes it, that dude knows where I live, after all. ๐Ÿ˜…
