A New Glass Engraving Method

I’ve tried it all! Paint, marking spray, wet paper towels, everything.

Once I was about to throw in the towel I remembered I had a chalk marker, so I grabbed that and opened the package. But it was NOT a marker at all.

It was like an oil pastel. Clown makeup. A waxy, oily white solid.

I tried it anyway and it worked better than anything I had ever tried before!

I was able to find this “Chalk Writer” at the Dollar Tree about a year ago. I have also found similar items on Amazon for your convenience.

You may even try an oil pastel, just be aware the pigments in the pastels may have different results than this white color “writer”.

The engravings are near perfect with my 10w Diode Wecreat Vista Laser!

Here are the settings I used. Try these out and adjust accordingly.

Good luck! Results might even be better on a higher quality glass!
